"the city government is more reasonable".....your ass. In the first place
the airport is not owned by the city it is owned by Allegheny County. In
the second place this airport was just built ll years ago to the exacting
specifications imposed by none other than US Airways creating massive debt
for the county authority. Now that the piss poor management has trashed the
airline with stupid labor agreements and lousy management they can't afford
to pay the costs of operating at a first class airport such as "Greater
Pittsburgh International" and they want the county and their own employees
to take on the burden that is rightfully their own. Any airport authority
that kisses the ass of any airline in today's environment of sadly
mismanaged carriers is making a big mistake. Allegheny County has learned
this lesson and will be better off no matter what US Air decides. Besides
that US Airways is bluffing and will not move their hub from Pittsburgh.
