   The primary objective of the allied invasion of Iraq was to depose the Saddam   
   Hussein regime, though weapons of mass distruction had been a major issue of   
   the previous administration and an ancillary consideration of the present   
   administration, they weren't the primary impetus for the attack, though they   
   remain a darling among the media pundits whose pessimistic predictions turned   
   out to be laughable. KM
