Not really. King Faisal was extremely concerned about the well-being of
his subjects particularly in the 1960s, when he expended prodigious
amounts of money to modernize Saudi Arabia. In particular, his cmapaign
to eradicate the common desert fly vastly improved the health of his
subjects. He also spent great amounts of money to modernize the cities.
At the time, there weren't all that many Saudis. However, modern
healthcare and a very generous government has led to one of the greatest
   population explosions ever recorded.

I haven't blamed the US for anything. Try to not project onto others
whom you have not previously encountered, it only makes you look crazy.
