      From: qqq@dewy.com.au              That's a pretty darned wild guess...              Most people will tell you that it's to get your eyes accustomed to searching       for an exit in case of a crash (they dim the cabin lights as well).              I always thought it was so the plane itself is more visible, but the most       feasible explanation (to me) is that in the case of an accident/incident,       the crew need to quickly surmise the situation outside. If they have to       climb over people to do this, it could be difficult...              "Anvaco" |
