and the legal judgement was that BAA should have been paying half the cost
so well done RYR for exposing this .

Where do you get this information from Joe ? Are you saying RYR pax walk
across the tarmac to get to the remote gates at STN vecause I don't know how
   you would get there otherwise

Please quote me your source for saying the other airlines paid willingly.

All pax using wheelchairs had a charge imposed by BAA

I haven't ever read a press report saying Ryanair expect everyone to kiss
the ground they walk on. Perhaps you would like to quote the source.

   >> > Ryanair are probably getting a free lunch at PIK - no wonder the place

   > Insult PIK? All those reports of ageing infrastructure are not true.? :-(

Actually the PIK infrastructure is very good unless you can quote a source
that says otherwise. You seem to be mixing it up with a comment by the
airport owners who said the passenger reception area needs some cosmetic
attention. Vastly different from airport infrastructure.

   > One thing blatantly obvious about these 'discussions' is the fact that

Only you would have such a biased opinion Joe.

   > BTW.... who pays for the wheelchairs at PIK?

No idea but as the airport owners are in charge of all arrangements for
parking aircraft and providing passenger access to those aircraft I expect
they will heed the legal judgement that they are at least 50% required to
   absorb any charges.
