XPost: alt.airports.uk.edinburgh       From: jim.mason@spamtrappedukonline.co.uk              McLetchie in storm over airport expansion              ANGIE BROWN              Scotsman Online 08/02/05              DAVID McLetchie, the Scots Tory leader, was last night at the centre of a       conflict of interests row over Edinburgh Airport.              According to a newspaper report, a complaint from a member of the public is       on its way to the parliament?s standards commissioner, Dr Jim Dyer.              It alleges that Mr McLetchie failed to declare that the law firm, Tods       Murray, of which he is a partner, was advising the Royal Highland and       Agricultural Society, which is an opponent of the proposed expansion of the       airport. In December, Mr McLetchie signed a parliamentary motion rejecting       the expansion, which would force the RHAC to move from its headquarters at       Ingliston.              Last night a spokesman for Mr McLetchie said he had done nothing wrong.                     --       Remove `spamtrapped` to reply off-list       http://jim-mason.fotopic.net/c162491.html              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
