XPost: alt.airports.uk.edinburgh, alt.airports.uk.glasgow       From: drmayr@btinternet.com               CUMBERNAULD Scotland's busiest airport at 3 pm last Saturday !!!!              It has been learned that Cumbernauld was Scotland's busiest airport last       Saturday afternoon at exactly 3pm. 2 C150s, a Squirrel helicopter and 3       microlights were all at the airport together and the airport outperformed       even the mighty Perth aerodrome at that time. Jet X operators said they       were hopeful that the boom in traffic still meant there was space for them       to operate in 2007 as planned.              A spokesman for BAA said that they were astonished at such movement figures       and would redouble ther efforts to shift more aeroplanes at their airports.       Luckily Heathrow had 7 aircraft at the same time otherwise Cumbernauld would       have been Britain's busiest airport at 3 pm on Saturday afternoon.              Mr Joe, A, Fox 1, Spam-man, Curry said " Remarkable given there are no       winter discounts for airlines at EDI." Ayt which point the rest of the       aviation world yawned in complete disinterest.                     http://www.surrey.ac.uk/eng/InfoPoint/mddp/mddp04/taxi/jetx-rout       s-cumbernauld.htm?menunum=1&menu=4&submenu=5              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
