   British Airways has today (Friday 25 July) completed its purchase of French    
   airline L'Avion.    
      
      
   L'Avion will operate as a subsidiary of British Airways and will become    
   fully integrated with OpenSkies by early 2009.

   British Airways purchased L'Avion at a cost of £54 million (Euro 68    
   million) inclusive of £26 million of cash in its business.    
   OpenSkies launched services on June 19 this year with daily flights from    
   Paris Orly to New York JFK.    
   L'Avion currently operates two daily flights between Paris Orly and Newark
