   GOD. It is not to offer a buffet or smorgasbord and let people pick for   
   themselves; it is to exhibit discernment and care in its choice of offerings,   
   par this clear guideline.   
      
   Other Readings tell us that Eastern Thought is only half true, Channeling or   
   Mediumship and its fruit are verboten, and THE TRUTH is found IN THE HOLY   
   BIBLE.   
      
   So for the ARE to offer books in its bookstore, weekly meetings,   
   conferences, etcetera, with precepts prophecies philosophies different than   
   found in The Readings and The Bible, not only flouts this WORK Reading,   
   and shows extreme disrespect to Edgar, Gertrude, Gladys who gave their   
   lives for this great work, but also sends people down blind dead-end alleys   
   and even gets money from them for it! THOSE A.R.E. PRINCIPALS   
   RESPONSIBLE SURELY HAVE A STEEP PRICE TO PAY, IF THEY HAVE NOT   
   ALREADY!   
      
   I have lived in Virginia Beach since 1994. But before that, living in another   
   State, I had no idea what was going on at the ARE. Then within just the first   
   week or two of being in Virginia Beach I began to say to anyone that I could   
   that I bet Edgar is rolling over in his grave. I had discovered that the ARE   
   hosts a weekly Course In Miracles [*] meeting, and that one of the ARE   
   principals subscribes to the anti-Reading anti-Bible doctrine Universal   
   Salvation. The former came about when I found the free flyer in the Lobby   
   which lists upcoming scheduled events, and the latter when I was in the   
   Meditation Room and the Daily Tour group came in it and that day's tour   
   guide was said ARE principal - to my shock, at the end of his little speech to   
   the group, he said to them: So just relax, don't worry, we are all going to   
   make it [he also states the same thing in numerous of his books and   
   articles]. Ha! Don't think so, elsewise why do numerous Readings speak of   
   the WARNINGS in The Holy Bible, and WARN people to heed them? Makes   
   me think of the terms "pied piper" and "head in the sand" and "rose colored   
   glasses".   
      
   Money certainly does factor in, but I think the real crux of the issue is that   
   there has been no good leadership at the ARE since Hugh Lynn passed away.   
   The only proper leader for the ARE would be someone who respects both   
   The Readings and The Bible, and who therefor ignores any precept prophecy   
   philosophy that differs from those two sources. That would still leave plenty   
   of room for a bustling ARE. As it is, though the ARE has offered a buffet and   
   smorgasbord for several decades now, and has catered to the outcries of the   
   lost [who have insisted: Do not promote the Bible, Do not promote Jesus,   
   Do offer a buffet and smorgasbord] rather than the pleas of the not lost, it is   
   my understanding that the ARE currently has a membership number of only   
   about 30,000! THAT IS PITIFUL!   
      
   The Holy Bible, being a repository of TRUTH, has at least two verses about   
   this state of affairs, one in the Old Testament, and one in the New   
   Testament:   
      
   Jeremiah 2:13   
   My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of   
   living waters [DDF: gone after supposed angels and other disincarnate   
   spirits or souls, though The Readings say to go only to the top guy GOD],   
   and hewed out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water [DDF:   
   philosophies, prophecies, precepts, that are false].   
      
   2 Timothy 4:1-5   
   I solemnly charge you before God and our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge   
   the quick and the dead when his kingdom is come. Preach the word, and   
   stand by it zealously in season and out of season; rebuke, reprove, through   
   all patience and teaching. For the time will come when men will not listen to   
   sound doctrine, but they will add for themselves extra teachers according to   
   their desires, being lured by enticing words. They will turn away their ears   
   from the truth and they will turn to fables. But you must be awake to all   
   things, endure hardships, do the work of a preacher, and fulfill your   
   ministry.   
      
   Though I have been a member of the ARE since 1989, I sent my first   
   corrective communication to them in 1998. Numerous letters and emails and   
   phone calls later, they all just keep saying and doing whatever it is that they   
   want to, whether in line with The Readings and The Bible or not, and   
   whether accurate or not. It is an absolute disgrace.   
      
   I had said to someone several years ago that Edgar was great, and his   
   Readings are great, but the ARE is messed-up. This someone knew and   
   rubbed-shoulders with a number of ARE insiders. When I said this to him, he   
   immediately replied, Well if it makes you feel any better you are not the only   
   person who says that. I said to him, Why do you say that? He said, You   
   know, people talk. I said, What do they say? He said, You know, good-ol'-   
   boy network, and incompetence.   
      
   This is what I do know, such a state of affairs will not go on forever. God   
   will   
   see to it that things are set right, whether before Jesus' return or else upon   
   Jesus' return. So in the meantime I very much look forward to same.   
      
   Well I could go on and on, many stories and many things to say, but I will   
   end here.   
      
   So nice to find another one of the good people still in the ring.

   [*] Course In Miracles is fruitless verbiage. I cannot believe that anyone   
   would take any interest in it whatsoever. One of the first things it says is   
   that it is Jesus talking, so right there it has already lied. No one in their   
   right   
   mind could think that this tome is Jesus talking. Jesus did not have an   
   epiphany after his resurrection and take-over Helen Schucman's voice-box   
   to blather more than 1,000 pages of statements which have nothing to do   
   with, and many statements which conflict with, the precepts prophecies   
   praises warnings in The Holy Bible. Satan is behind ALL channeled materials,   
   and their purpose is to draw people away from The Holy Bible, and they   
   have achieved this goal very well. One person said to me that Conversations   
   With God is their "new bible". Another person said to me that The Urantia   
   Book is their "new bible". These statements are not a coincidence! Satan   
   does not want people to take interest in The Bible! And sadly, many people   
   are catering to his wish. A number of people who run the ARE take token   
   interest in The Bible, when they can use certain of its verses, and when they   
   can imagine that verses that should be taken literally are only symbolic, and   
   in the meantime they much prefer the lies and vain imaginings of writings   
   that differ from The Bible, though a Reading directly states that most of The   
   Bible, and especially the book of Revelation, should be interpreted on three   
   levels - literally and spiritually and metaphysically - and that TRUTH is found   
   in The Bible.
