[continued from previous message]              corrections? I know that Edgar is not around to provide such diagnostics, if       you will, but if not he, then no one? I currently live in southern Germany for       the next few years. Please advise.              Namaste,              Wayne Siegmund              **********                     February 01 2016              Debra replied:              Hello Wayne,              Welcome to the Forum.              I live in the United States and am not familiar with countries overseas,       but if I were you I would send an email to the A.R.E.. Their website       edgarcayce.org has a "Contact Us" option-link at the bottom left of its       home-page, or you can send direct to are@edgarcayce.org. The other       option is to phone them at 1-800-333-4499. Just let them know that       you are in Germany for a while and that you would like be given the       contact information for the nearest A.R.E.-related center and/or medical       practitioners.              An additional option is to send an email to the A.R.E. Health Center and       Spa via the upper right "Contact" link at arehealth.org or else direct at       spa@edgarcayce.org. They do have a medical doctor and registered       nurse on staff, and they do do health assessments. As to whether or not       or what they could do long-distance, perhaps via email and Skype, you       would need to ask them to find out.              Other than that, all I can think of is that you could also avail yourself of       the various Circulating Files and Research Reports which pertain to your       issues which might better help you to understand what you need and       maybe even give you some ideas as to what you could do yourself. They       can also be read by any doctor that you might be working with. The A.R.E.       Customer Service Department operator and/or A.R.E. Library staff are       I believe your best bet as far as those materials.              There is also a lot of medical material available on the edgarcayce.org       website. When you log-in as a member, you can then click-on the upper       left "Edgar Cayce Readings" link and that will take you to a screen with       four options: "Word Search" and "Explore Topics" and "Explore Resources"       and "Get Help". Each of those latter three options takes you to other       options and/or information that pertains to the Medical Readings that       Edgar Cayce gave. If you look through all of this information you may       find some help for yourself. It takes time, but it is at no cost other than       your already paid membership. And of course you can try using the       "Word Search" option too, or its "Advanced Search" options, and find       what relevant information you can directly from the Readings themself.              Lastly, I recall there being a video that shows people various postures       and movements to do their own adjustments. You might try to locate       this video or other similar self-help type stuff. I myself have never seen       this video, but I have been doing adjustments on myself for years -       I just figured out what movements to do. When I do the adjustment,       I hear the snap or pop and then experience an enjoyable sensation       whereas before there was an uncomfortable tension. A Chiropractor       later informed me that that snap or pop sound is GAS BEING RELEASED.       I never knew this till he told me. Of course probably cracking one's own       knuckles is the most common bone adjustment that people make on       themself. One can also crack their own toes and their own knees and       their own neck and their own back. That same Chiropractor told me this       was okay as long as one does the adjustment gently, or just so,       and so does not overextend it which can lead to worse problems.              Ha! Ha! In one of the Readings a man complained about his bones       creaking and he wanted to know from Edgar as to what he could do       about it, and Edgar replied that he would have to stop growing old!              Another funny aside is that I once had an elderly roommate that was       hoping to sneak up on me and to startle me or to scare me. As he       approached me from behind, alas I could hear the bones in his feet       and/or ankles cracking and this foiled his plan. And he never tried again!              Best of luck to you in your pursuit of your best health.              Blessings,              Debra Dee Freeman       --       P.S. Normally just lying flat on one's back on a hard level surface for a       certain amount of time, and perhaps several times a day and/or a certain       number of days in a row, can do wonders for back health. It helps to       naturally and gradually stretch and relax the spinal muscles and back       muscles. I personally have experienced on more than one occasion that       this alone can do such wonders that I only needed to do it one time for       about 40 minutes and then my back was good to go again. Normally       also hanging on a "monkey bar" at a park or some other high sturdy bar       for a certain number of seconds can do good for the spine by stretching       and aligning it. I say "normally", meaning be sure and check with a       so-called certified degreed professional first, if you think you should,       to get their opinion as to whether either of these activities would be       contraindicated, or not, in regards to your own particular situation. And       if you do the lying-flat activity, be sure that there is no bulky waistband       or belt or other clothing portion or clothing accessory that is preventing       the back from lying as flat and even as it possibly can. It can be good also,       when in this position, to gently make several attempts to press and hold       the small of the back flat to the floor if it is not flat to the floor already       -       again, check for contraindication or not. Happy back stretching by lazing!       --       P.S. Another specific for the muscles of the body, including the back and       spine muscles, which in turn helps maintain spinal alignment and health,       is as much as possible maintaining spiritual positive trains of thought, as       fear or anxiety or other negative mental states cause muscles to tense,       and tense back and spine muscles pull the vertebra out of alignment and       do other damage. Not only this, but a certain amount of time or degree       of negative mental state can reverse any positive benefit gained by a       recent massage or adjustment. Faith is the antidote to fear or anxiety.       Reading and memorizing Bible verses, especially ones in Psalms, can aid       much in that direction, and were often advised in the Readings.       --       P.S. The most-often recommended oils for massage were Peanut Oil and       Olive Oil, often in combination. Peanut Oil is a specific for joints, and       Olive Oil is a specific for tissues. So the two cover both bases when used       together. Also we are told that these two oils, especially Peanut Oil, will       not turn rancid on the skin as other oils may do. The value of a massage       done with these oils is not found just in the massage, but in the effect       the oils will have being on and absorbed by the skin. After the massage       it is good to lie still for up to as much as at least one hour to enhance       and increase the beneficial effects of the massage and the oils. It is okay       if you fall asleep. The official supplier of Cayce Products or www.baar.com       offers the massage oil "Body Beautiful" which consists of Peanut Oil, and       Olive Oil, and Lanolin, as recommended in the Readings (the Lanolin helps       the oils be absorbed even better than they otherwise would be). Most       masseurs are open to using the massage oil that the client requests.       Probably a once a month proper back massage with the right massage       oil would help you a good deal, and even once a week would not be too       often.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
