|    The physicist Edward Teller    |

From: jpewther@aol.com              The physicist Edward Teller =       The lewd physicist led Terra.              This is just a possible improvement for one of my old anagrams,              Edward Teller = Lewd led Terra              which doesn't quite work, because (as far as I can tell), "lewd" has always       been an adjective, not a noun. But "lewd" does have the archaic meaning of       simply "evil" or "wicked," without having any sexual suggestions.              However, there was no problem with "Terra," because that is the Latin word for       "Earth." And Terra has been used as a name for the planet Earth in science       fiction.              Edward Teller is, of course, the physicist who is known as "the father of the       hydrogen bomb." And by coming up with a workable idea for the design of the       first H-bomb, and lobbying hard to get the USA to create one, he led the       modern world into the M.A.D.        era of Mutually Assured Destruction.              Jud              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
