   Late comer to the scene I see. GitS: Stand Alone Complex isn't as cool   
   as the original, the GitS2 is premering the weekend of September 18   
   through most of the country.   
      
   Bubble Gum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 has similar themes, but focuses more on   
   soceity than on the brain-hack.   
      
   Serial Experiments: Lain is a complete and total mind fuck. One way to   
   decsribe it is Soul Hacking, maybe just fucking with the viewer. Watch   
   it, you'll like it.
