   Anyone know what this device is? It looks like it might be a speaker. It has   
   about 6 ft of deteriorated gold cloth-covered pair of wires attached, and   
   has the words Connecticut Tel. & Elec. Co. Meriden, Conn. on the back.   
   Any idea what it might have been used with, and what it might be worth?   
   There is a small button on the front. What is that is for?
