If it's locked up, it'll almost certainly       cost you to have it hauled off.              The above statement doesn't apply if the safe is on an ornate pedestal       looking more like a fancy schmancy mailbox than a safe or if it is a       sphere. Another detail that would remove it from the nil category would       be front doors painted with the name of a prominent store/merchant.              Most old safes reconditioned and sold with a warranty only retail for       $300-$1000.
