From: steve.h1@ntlworld.com              Need some help here got a pair of Louis Quatorze chairs for restoration       which are for want of a better word "painted" in a white substance       presumably its a lead based compound, and so far as we know they have never       previously been restored in anyway. Trouble is cant shift this white stuff       tried all usual strippers and acid bath but to no avail only thing sofar isa       scrapping so the question is anyone out there know what the stuff is and       also is there a compound/re-agent for it?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
