|    Singer sewing machine - refinish or not?    |
|    09 Sep 06 11:18:41    |
From: noname@noname.somewhere              It's an old cast iron stand, foot peddle variety with the original wood top       with drawers on each side.              The original sewing machine has been replaced with an electric sewing       machine - "precision sewing" and "remington" markings.              The veneer on the top of the cabinet has some veneer missing and is in bad       shape. There is some veneer underneath that I can use to replace the veneer       on the top.       Refinished it would never look like new, but much cleaner than current.              Should I refinish the top or only use some wood cleaner and leave it as is?       Does this piece have any value either "as is" or refinished?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
