|    Musical box with flashing lights    |

From: teragram@btopenworld.com              I have a musical box which was bought by my uncle in the 1950's. He was in       the army at the time, and I am told he may have bought it in Singapore. It       is black with pictures of oriental trees, houses, pagodas and bridges on it.       There is also a mountain which looks like Mount Fuji. It has a mirror       inside the lid, which has a picture of an oriental girl in a garden with a       lake and a bridge. Originally it had lights flashing alternatively red and       green when the music played, but I don't have a battery, and don't know what       sort to use. The lights could be seen flashing if you opened 2 little doors       on the front, and also through some glass inside it. The movement has what       I think is TOK TOKYO JAPAN written on it, but I can't find any other       markings. It has some notes missing as some of the teeth have broken off.       Could it be worth getting it restored, or is it just a worthless souvenir?              Margaret              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
