|    A quick question about china patterns    |

From: nospam@whitehouse.gov              I recently inherited quite a bit of Haviland "Ladore" china from my Mom.       On the back is the standard trademark markings:              Haviland       Limoges       Ladore              Some pieces have the trademark twice - once in the middle in green and once       near the edge in red.              On a couple of the pieces the word "Haviland" is gouged out - not crossed       out with a Sharpie or similar, but there's an actual dig - albeit a smooth       dig - into the surface.              What does this signify and does it affect the pieces' value or       collectability?              Thanks!              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
