   Was hoping someone could assist in telling me what era the attached   
   knife (dagger?) is from.  There are some letters or symbols on the   
   knife and both the knife and shield are done in brass and copper.  It   
   obviously needs a good cleaning.  I did a search for daggers, knifes,   
   old coins (looks like an old coin on the sheaf), but no luck.  Any   
   assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Sorry the pics are so big,   
   but I scanned at 12 dpi for detail.  Thanks very much.
