   I'll warn you, it has a very libertarian, er, anti-state message running   
   right down the middle of it, which I found interesting because all of his   
   life Jimmy Stewart was an employee of that state, ending up as a general, I   
   believe, in the air force reserves.   
      
   There is one memorable moment in the flik, close to the front, where the   
   union soldiers come for Jimmy's civilian sons to incorporate them into the   
   army and Jimmy says something like, 'I raised my family and I we worked this   
   land with our own hands and we didn't ask the state for anything and we   
   don't owe the state anything now', or words to that effect.   
      
   There's some good messages in there.
