Re: Google AI (Gemini) on AYoS (2/2)

   [continued from previous message]

Is "X" a new, more trustworthy source than the "trusted source" you'd used at
   the time?

Could anyone possibly give a shit about what unnamed AI program you're using?

DUNCE: or commented on, any of NastyGoon's lines from any poems. Second, you
falsely claimed that I "trusted" X because I bought the book, when in fact I
bought the book because I did not trust X, and you know that because I'd told
   you so.

MMP: You bought the book because, like any other 5-year-old, you wanted to be
able to say "I told you so." If you hadn't trusted your "trusted source," you
wouldn't have spent the money on the book.

Like I said, you made a Dunce of yourself, again.

DUNCE: As for the third, I see you're discuss it at length, so I'll hold that
   till the end.

As for the third, it has nothing to do with my statement. Moving it to the
end is not going to confuse anyone regarding that (except, of course,
   yourself).

   >
   > DUNCE: "Third, that's one of just two mistakes I've caught the AI I use
making - which gives it a much better record than both your Goon's AIs, and
   both you and your Goon."
   >
   >
   > MMP: What error are you claiming I made in the above? Using an inferior AI
to your trusted source? That's certainly not an error in my statement, in
which you claimed the supposed errors occurred ("You actually made three
   errors there.").
   >

GJDUNCE: Actually, it is a different kind of error -- and epistemic one -- to
try to dismiss a source as unreliable "crap" when it is more accurate than you
   are.

MMP: Your source mistakenly attributed NancyGene's excellent line of poetry to
Whatshisname, and proceeded to make up a false quote from Whatshisname to back
   it up.

In the end, you ended up shelling out a good chunk of money to purchase the
collected works of Whatshisname, just so you could say "Told you so!" to
NancyGene... only to discover that Whatshisname never wrote anything even
   remotely resembling NancyGene's
poem, that your "trusted source" lied to you, and that you are the world's
   biggest Dunce.

   >
   > MMP: As to your first two claims, you are basically just backing up what I'd
said: your AI wrongly attributed NancyGene's line to Whatshisname the Poet,
and you ended up buying the complete works of Whatshisname to verify a theft
   that never occurred.
   >

GJDUNCE: Now you're trying to defend your errors by doubling down on them. You
repeat the false claim that X "wrongly attributed NancyGene's line" when
yuu've already been told that X was never asked about NastyGoon's line; and
   the false claim that I
trusted X when, in fact, I bought the book because I was not simply trusting
   X. The first time you made those claims, I could call them errors because you
obviously don't remember the incident all that well; you can't even remember
   the poet's name (
Robert Creeley). But when you double down on them, and go on to claim that I
somehow backed up either one, you've clearly crossed the line into lying.

MMP: There's no somehow about it, Dunce.

   Let's review. I said that:

   1) You consulted your "trusted source" regarding a line of poetry that I'd
   posted by NancyGene.
   2) Your "trusted source" told you that it resembled a line by Whatshisname
   the Poet.
   3) You couldn't find the complete works of Whatshisname the Poet online, and
couldn't provide the source (the original Whatshisname poem) that NancyGene
supposedly cribbed her line of poetry from.
   4) Because you couldn't miss an opportunity to say "Told you so!" to
NancyGene, you order the complete works of Whatshisname the Poet from Amazon...
   5) And found out that you were wrong, that NancyGene didn't copy her line
from Whatshisname, and that your "trusted source" lied to you.

   Poor Dunce.

MMP: In short, you made a Dunce of yourself... again.

   >
   > DUNCE: Actually, "in short," you've made a Liar of yourself... again.
   >

I have provided a step-by-step outline of the events, exactly as they went
down, above, DUNCE. Which one are you claiming is a lie?

DUNCE: And that's sufficient to deal with you for now; I have more important
things to do than deal with lying trolls like HarryLiar.

   [/quote]

MMP: IOW: Georgy Porgy runs away.

   Again.
