   Hey Donna,   
      
   I have used the secondary chart in synastry and have found answers to   
   compatibility that the natal charts alone did not reveal through traditional   
   techniques.   
      
   When I drew up a secondary chart for one party and then compared it to the   
   natal chart of the other party, the secondary charts ascendant was the same   
   sign as the partners natal ascendant, and the ruler of the secondary   
   ascendant, the Moon fell into the    
   7th house of the partners natal chart, which also conjoined the natal Venus,   
   and the Sun Moon midpoint of the natal chart.   
      
   Carl Payne Tobey certainly was an original thinker and I found his mate sign   
   theory using the 7 ancient planets fascinating.   
      
   He followed his own research and discovered patterns that went against popular   
   astrological thought: The natural signs that rule over the houses: Leo being   
   assigned to the 1st house. Pluto becoming the ruler of Aries instead of   
   Scorpio to cite just a    
   couple of his observations.    
      
    There is definitely loads worth pursuing and welcome a discussion about CPT.
