If you look into these stories, insofar as that's       possible, you'll learn that the shooters were affirmed.              According to the data I've seen, affirming is one of the worst things a       family can do for a kid. When families don't participate, the kids       usually move through it. When families climb on board, the kids start       spiraling.              There's a theory that this happens because kids who cosplay the opposite       sex at school but not at home are still anchored to reality. The LARP is       fun, but they know where the door is. When the families join in the       LARP, that anchor is gone, and the kids' mental health craters.                                   --       The True Melissa - Canal Winchester - Ohio       United States of America - North America - Earth       Solar System - Milky Way - Local Group       Virgo Cluster - Laniakea Supercluster - Cosmos              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
