   It was easy to hate, cheese was served in every epiosde, the dialogue   
   was terrible and the same few visual effects were used over and over   
   and over. But it had its moments, and actually gave you characters to   
   root for (something "new" BSG went far out of its way to prevent.) The   
   original BSG's origin story for the Cylons is better than Caprica's   
   "video game avatar becomes real person" nonsense. The original BSG   
   also had a peculiar supernatural twist mid-way through the show, and   
   they handled it better. The original BSG had some seriously bad   
   'network time killer' episodes, but the new BSG had whole seasons that   
   really did nothing to advance the story.

   Bleh. Interesting premise, sort of, but it would have worked better   
   outside the doomed BSG universe, and I just don't see how they can   
   make a whole series out it. "Caprica" probably should just have been a   
   four-hour miniseries like the BSG relaunch. I might watch the next   
   episode, but its neck and neck with SGU on my "I'll watch if I have   
   nothing better to do" list. The only character I cared one iota about   
   was the dead daughter's best friend (I think she used to be on Kyle   
   XY.)
