   As a two-part mini-series: 3.5

As a pilot to begin an entire series: 2.5

Ok, the pilot was alright, but I just don't see much need to continue
with it. Who is there to like in this thing? Who or what is there to
care about? What is there to develop? We know what happens in 58
years. Do we need to break Zoe out of her cell and return her to the
freedom of cyberspace, or get her into a human-looking sexbot with
skin? Do we need to learn more about the tattooed gangsters? Do we
need to learn more about the moral confusion of this high-tech
   polytheistic society?

"Need" is a funny word to use. Do you "need" to watch any show?

Watch or don't. I'm finding myself intrigued and even entertained. That's
really all I ask. The whole theme of "this has all happened before"
reverberates through this for me. The differences and similarities of the
society interest me. The idea of this AI based on the real girls and their
real "pain" is a fascinating conundrum to me. Think about how this all
impacted what the Cylons became as an artificial lifeform that became self
sustaining and evolving. How the religious differences shaped them as well
because of a couple of teenaged girls and their wrestling with the decadence
in the society they are growing up in. I like it. There are layers upon
   layers yet to be explored.

Or you could simply watch vampire teens and monster fighters and
   superheroes. To each his own.
