The FF in the gootubs? If "The Plan" had worked, there would be no humans
left, and the FF would have resurrected to Cavil smiling and saying "Look
   Ma--no humans!"
BSG derailed on the whole Final Five thing. What should have been, at best,
a minorly interesting plot point, or an opportunity for moree storylines,
   became the whole show.
I blame the internet, and Moore's paying attention to it. The term Final
Five never showed up in the scripts until it had been blasted all over the
   message boards.
Ever check out the discussions on the SciFi channel boards? It's packed with
the lowest common denominator-type fan, and featured a weekly talk with RDM
himself. The polls for the next week's show were started a week before they
aired, and the polls were filled with "Best ep EVVVERRRR!" Based, I guess
soley on the fact that there was going to be a show next week, and a 30
second blurb for it. Here, at least, we waited until we saw the show to rate
   it.
The other main topic on those boards was the "relationship" thing, and the
consensus was '"MORE SOAP! LOTS MORE SOAP!"
So, of couse, they were obliged.
I'll bitch about the long hiatuses while I'm here, too, I suppose.
   Anyway, it's a shame.
Caprica is really more interesting than I expected it to be. Looking forward
   to seeing where it goes.
