What's weird is that I don't recall where the analogue signal would have first
come from. Wasn't it all digital? I can understand if it was an analogue
original, like a record or tape or film, and everyone knows that those
   original recordings can contain
more info than a digital version. I can't remember how many times I have folks
tell me that the CD version has lost it's soul or special oomph of xyz music
   concert.
