My viewpoint is that I don't care about Iraqi oil interests one way or
the other. The entire oil industry is to blame, not just one faction or
another. They all try to make us believe in "peak oil" and near future
shortages in order to inflate the price, when in fact the Sun will
probably burn out before we run out of oil.

But, what will burning all this oil do to our environment in the
meantime? That is more of a concern to me. And I'm not speaking about
global warming, but the poisoning of our atmosphere with carcinogens and
other detrimental chemicals, that everyone seems to conveniently
overlook, in favor of more contentious issues. Anything to promote
   conflict, I guess.
