Agreed. A lot of the same was true with "Lost" especially the quais
religious aspects and the mostly good Vs. mostly evil struggle
   against each other.

Not that there were legit complaints, a lot of things did go
unanswered but the basic story about redemption and how the
characters will be redeemed while dealing with all the crap thrown
against them from the Others, MIB and Widmore along with Jacob's
desire for a replacement to keep MIB on the island was always there
even if they were introduced in later seasons. I think like with both
"Battlestar Galactica" and "Lost" it is best now to look at them
again from the beginning on DVD and you will notice some things you
didn't before on the first go round, like thing you thought wasn't
answered or addressed in the show probably were.

It was rushed I agree. I think Galactica was "due" two more seasons
but they had to work with the episodes they got. And they did
relatively well, especially providing an explanation episode "No
Exit" that did tie up some loose ends and a lot of mysteries. "Lost
was the same way but they did have more episodes to work with when it
was given a definite end date. Some story lines got tossed, like Walt
is special thing. I am sure it was the same with BSG.
