|    TOS Question: Colonial Fleet: How Large?    |
|    19 Jun 10 22:18:15    |
From: MattWiser_88@yahoo.com              One thing that the Original BSG didn't answer was this: How large was the       pre-holocaust Colonial Fleet? There had to be more than five battlestars in       the Fleet prior to the Battle of Cimtar (the attack on the fleet in the       pilot), along with smaller warships: cruisers, destroyers, patrol craft,       escorts, etc. It's simple common sense. In a war that lasts a thousand years       plus, a substantial military establishment was no doubt in place, and not       just the Fleet, but an Army for planetary campaigns would be needed. I for       one would argue that the Fleet at Cimtar was only the battle line, but that       other forces were deployed (patrol, training, watching Colonial borders not       in the war zone, and so on) Any thoughts?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
