Correct on both counts. Also BSG had a hard end, they made it to
Earth so that's it. On the other hand "Star Trek" is open ended in
terms there will be always new worlds to explore and therefore new
stories to have without having a definite ending date (the time until
they find Earth) BSG as we know it just has doesn't have room to grow
like ST. The only thing is to have another Battlestar out there that
escaped destruction like Pegasus did with a fleet of civilian ships
that didn't find Earth yet and has its own Eights and Sixes and
   Threes especially Eights LOL!
