   I just realized that about an hour ago... it would have happened whether I   
   created the failover account or not, as the news server login feeds nothing   
   whatsoever to the posting identity.  But it's another indication that Usenet   
   is as flawed as ever, and has outlived its usefulness, at least the version   
   of it that exists under current spec.  From now on, it's secure accounts and   
   forums only for this cat.  After this weekend I will have migrated   
   everything off this sinking ship, and will have started to move it all to   
   something with unique user id's and user controlled security profiles.
