From: daviderl31@yahoo.com              From Oct 4 - 10 TV Guide               so stop reading if you don't want to know                                                                "On 'Caprica' Playing God--or Devil?"               There's a world of hurt--several, really-- as Syfy's provocative       'Caprica,' a prequel to BSG, returns to finish its first season with more       dramatic urgency than in the turgid first half.        Corporate, religious and terrorist intrigue interweave in this dense       cautionary fable. As disgraced mogul Daniel Graystone makes a deal with the       enemy to further his dream of a virtual ''cure for human grief,'' the       calculating Sister Clarice woos her acolytes with visions of resurrection, a       ''virtual heaven'' that will allow true believers to cheat death.        Meanwhile, the militaristic assembly line that keeps producing Cylon       robots that will someday turn on their creators, transforming ''apotheosis''       into apocalypse. Quality sci-fi is rarely pretty.               [ And BTW, Paula Malcomson (Amanda Graystone) has been on 'Sons of       Anarchy' as part of the Irish connection to the Sons, so her native Irish       accent (born in Belfast) serves her well. ]              --       David E.       http://daviderl31.blogspot.com/       http://daviderl.com/Alessandra.html              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
