Another country heard from then! :-)

It looks like somebody's at the vicarious ego wound-licking stage so I
propose to waive the RFD and go straight to the group thread hug...

I'm sorry if that's off-topic. Is there a group for hugs in the Big 8?
   Where would it go? soc.hugs? misc.hugs? rec.hugs? talk.hugs?
   humanities.hugs? I guess comp.hugs and news.hugs and sci.hugs
would be inappropriate. I just checked my news.individual.net
server and a search reveals not a single "hug" or "hugs" group.

Could this also have something to do with Usenet's Decline?
For groups where the consensus is Yes, would the Board be
willing to send a control message for, say, rec.arts.tv.hugs?

There've been times, after an episode of BSG, Smallville or even
that Warehouse 13 Christmas episode, when it might be nice to
have a place to go, a nice lounge or bar setup in the basement
there, just to unwind from a tough day in the thread jungle
above. Any group could have one -- the Usenet version of
Cheers. So there could also be:

   alt.battlestar-galactica.hugs
   rec.arts.comics.dc.universe.hugs
   rec.arts.sf.tv.hugs
   news.groups.hugs.

If all groups had automatically had a *.hugs, would Usenet have
   turned out differently?

So many questions, rhetorical only in part! Think about it, eh?

   And have a good evening.
