When I first heard in BSG that the twelve colonies were       all in the same star system, I was a little puzzled by how they could do       something like that. My first thoughts were what if these planets were       all moons of a gas supergiant or brown dwarf, several times bigger than       Jupiter, with Earth-sized moons. But still having 12 Earth sized moons       around one planet would mean that they would be playing billiards with       each others orbits.              Also ignoring that one inconvenient fact, if these were all moons of a       gas giant, they would be within visual range of each other. You would be       seeing them rising and falling in the sky, as well as seeing the main       planet looming large.               Yousuf Khan              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
