The original Battlestar Galactica had a robotic daggit.

Doctor Who had K-9, who also had his own spin-off show (aimed at younger kids).

Star Wars had R2-D2 (it would be difficult to find a more loyal robotic
   companion).

Lost in Space had the Robot, who was often little more than a robotic
Lassie ("What Robot, timmy fell down the well again").

Flipping the coin around, Star Trek: The Next Generation had Spot ...
although Spot was a real cat, his owner was robotic.

And in real life, Sony has the Aibo (and various more toy-like and
   realistic-looking versions from other companies).
