   I have just one beef with your rule.  I have had many experiences with   
   sysops   
   who have misused the user records.  One cosysop of a BBS I was on long   
   ago, used the BBS user records as his personal phonebook when the BBS   
   went down.  I never got any peace because he'd call me all the time.  And   
   so that nobody gets paranoid, that person no longer calls me nor do I have   
   ANY contact with him at all.  I had to go to extreme methods to get him off   
   of my back.  It was during the time of dialup when I set my   
   telecommunications   
   software to hostmode and when he'd login, I'd dump him off.  I had to do   
   this   
   repeatedly to get rid of him.  Secondly,  very recently, a sysop who chose   
   not to like me, called my home and threatened me.  So if I give you my real   
   name and number, how do *I* know you're not a psychotic murderer?  Where's   
   my sense of security?   I don't know you from a hill of beans.  Where's my   
   protection?   Think about this before being rigid in your rule.  I   
   understand the   
   hard work you put into your BBS but many people are not comfortable giving   
   out personal information.   Seems like a real catch-22 to me.
