in my view ....you have done nothing wrong.....it is a classic tale of
   programer's vs the world....
ie not enough people involved that work at your pace to keep up with the
   'tweaks' non-programmers want...

   anyway

you program and make new features and insights to the bbs...zooming right
   along....

then in an ideal world you'd then put out your work and someone like
(pistolgrip maybe) would make the kind of front end enhancements (from vbbs
or whatever..or whatever else is in graphics or menu arrangement etc) that
users would prefer..prob multiple choice stuff menus/graphics etc (like who
is gonna make an ansi front end for the major bbs clone menu area? i mean
i'm not and i'd prob eventually use that if i ever put synchro and wg up
together again with major mud..i mean crap who has the time and likes
graphics enough to do those details...)... and then yet another person might
put this all together so non-programming dummies like myself can follow a
menu to install such...then yet another guy makes the docs...and another guy
helps pkg the product..etc an nauseum.....

its FREEWARE people..your lucky the guy just doesn't pack it up like some
others ...or charge you for it...

just keep making the product improvements if someone wants to make an better
install menu or RIP menus for the mbbs clone menu choices or docs or
whatever....or answer guestions for clueless types like
myself..cool..otherwise those complaining about how your FREEWARE product is
too complicated...well give me a break...or .they prob should just shut up
   and pitch in...

(ticks me off and i'm not even running the stuff wg or synchro anymore just
   lurking)

   anyway...

   my 2c worth

   brad
former sysop lost gonzo bbs (down but not forgotten yet)

(maybe someday.i'll lever the beast back up.
but I have the same problems...need 4 sysops to get my beast up..too much to
do..i'd .have to have one guy help me with
the new graphics www pages....i'm clueless....get doors back up in multinode
no less under synchro...further clueless and prob have 100 igms under lord
alone...not to mention..the 100 or so other door reg or freeware stuff i
prob could get up...need to learn linux to run stuff like Legend of the
Green Dragon Web game...and it just plain gets lonely putting this stuff up
if your the only guy doing it....i mean 4 guys and some beers its kinda fun
tossing up the huge wg majormud/tw/synchro door setup i had..but by
myself...alone...and paying the static ip by myself....(never tick off the
local teleco by bringing in a non-local ISP to his area..the non-local ISP
gave me a free T1 for bbs use (4yrs) for watching his equip here
locally....he is now gone (sigh) but the teleco never forgets..gonzo goes up
on no-ip.com or some such i be toast.....).....anyway....i feel your
pain....but you do have some people helping that is good....ignore the
   idiots

   end rant
