Jason, nowhere in my original message did I say anything about going
back to dial-up. In fact, the Armageddon BBS is not even accessible via
dial-up. It is telnet-only. Please read more carefully before you make
unfounded statements which have no basis in fact.

For the record, I am not out of touch. I have been a computer user, BBS
SysOp and BBS user, and Internet user since 1990. I know whereof I
speak. I have visited quite a few BBSes over the years, and I am fully
aware of the technology that is currently available. My BBS --
Armageddon BBS -- can likewise be accessed via a standard web page.
However, my main point still stands; and that is that true BBS'ing --
in its early form, with strictly PC ANSI graphics and CLI -- is a thing
of the past which will attract few modern users who have grown up with
the eye candy of the web.

So again, yes, BBS'ing is slowly dying. Face the facts.

   Thanks.
