   the only reason i was using it on the laptop is that is now gonna be the   
   default on any new pc on most o/s machines sold..ie newbies....i.e..7   
      
   they hit on a www site and want to pop in via a telnet link to a bbs to play   
   a door game well..from a www page on that site...well...who's gonna tell   
   them what telnet is ......and /or that i.e. 7 is junk and discontinued   
   telnet support..they will just hit a link that don't work..at least this way   
   (ie with the fix for i.e. 7) we can pop them to a page to either install the   
   fix or tell them to install a telnet client   
   with a 99 percent monopoly on o/s's and whatever for browsers..well   
   microsoft will probably get away with killing it off from the browser
