|    Should I have listened?    |

From: nospam.cyberiabbs@THRWHITE.remove-11ey-this              Recently I have moved, gotten a new BBS computer, and rebuild my BBS       from       scratch because the old pc died. I have been running LORD unregistered       for       several weeks now, hoping that I could find my old reg forms that are       packed       away in boxes in the garage.              Today I finally gave up and decided to go ahead and purchase a new LORD       registration from gameport.com. I gave all my personal and CC info,       then       was told that my CC was declined, because of 'INV BATCH SEQ'. That to       me       sounds like a problem on their end, not mine. I called my bank, and       they       said that the transaction came through a-ok, and was paid.              I sent an email to info@gameport.com outlining the same details I       stated       here, and expected them to get back to me on tuesday after the holiday.              This is my first transaction with GP, and I know I've heard lots of bad       things about them in here before. I'm wondering now if I should have       listened. However, I don't know what other alternative I had.              Has this ever happened to you with your experiences with GP? Did they       always make good?              -Regards,       Darryl Perry       Sysop, Cyberia BBS              ---        * Synchronet * The Whitehouse BBS --- whitehouse.hulds.com --- check it out       free usenet!       --- Synchronet 3.15a-Win32 NewsLink 1.92       Time Warp of the Future BBS - telnet://time.synchro.net:24              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
