I do believe thats why places like the salvation army exist.              We live in different country's so I don't know how the salvation army works       in your country. In my country they don't walk into your house and take       everything you don't use anymore. Instead they wait until you make the       decision to give it to them.              > I       > have a closet full of computer hardware I no longer use that I give away to       > my friends.              Makes me wonder how you can get a closet full of computers if you give it       away to friends. Maybe you were still searching for friends :-)              > Sounds selfish if you ask me.              One of the advantages of being the creator of something is that you can be       selfish about it.              > Your decision doesn't make any sense because its just you saying "No" for       > the purpose of saying "No".              One of the advantages of being the creator of something is that your       decisions about it don't have to make sense.              > If you're no longer selling your product, and       > not making any money off of it, how would you be affected by at least       > releasing a keygen for your products? But I'm running a business for about 15 years now and I       didn't survive by giving away things I invested in.              > Your logic of me having to reinvent the wheel every time I would like a       > program is very counter productive to the MarjorBBS community. But even as a hobbyist I understood that if I       wanted something somebody spend money and time on, I had to pay for it and       that there would be products I, for various reasons, couldn't get.              > Also, please stop finding excuses for making yourself not sound like a man       > who has control issues. Perhaps you should try that too       sometime.              > Come back when you have something CONSTRUCTIVE to add to the MajorBBS       > community.              I already did in the past. MajorBBS/Worldgroup would not have been so       successful without the TPD/ISV's. But what's your contribution to the       MajorBBS community besides telling others it's ok to use pirated software?              --       Bert Rozenberg       Stop fighting Spam, Start Ignoring it.       http://www.spambright.com       My philosophy, in essense, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his       own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as       his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute. - Ayn Rand              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
