From: brokedickdog@gmail.com              [[ This message was both posted and mailed: see        the "To," "Cc," and "Newsgroups" headers for details. ]]              Hey was wondering if you could help me, i have major bbs 6.25 and i       have it all setup, it seems to work, i run it and it seems to be a       fully functioning bbs, however i can not get to it from other telnet       terminals, even on the network oreven when i try to connect using the       same computer i have major bbs running.... In the ip portion of setup,       i believe its options 395-400 i have the ip set as my real ip, subnet       as 255.255.255.0 and gateway and dns both set at 192.168.1.1 which is       my gateway on my local network.. I even tried the local ip just to see       if that would work and allow me to connect computers that are within my       network... i installed the software systems virtual packet driver and       did set that up in my network neighborhood, in the directions it said       to do it using local area connection, instead i used my wireless       internet connection, because that is what i use for my internet       connection... i do not use the local area connection... Anyways, i       really want to be able to connect from computers inside or outside my       network, i want to be able to use the bbs, other then just running it       and then using it from that actual program, i cant use a second       terminal to connect, only can use it from the main program itself,       which isnt the way its meant to be used, any help would be greatly       appreciated...              In article <47216836$0$14859$bbae4d71@news.suddenlink.net>, HG        |
