Bear,   
      
   I assume you are using MBBS4EVER?  It sounds like to me that you are   
   attempting to start the BBS via BBS.BAT instead of BBS.PIF which sets up the   
   correct comspec environment which has enough buffers so that MajorMUD will not   
   run out of contiguous    
   selectors.   
      
   Start MajorBBS via C:\BBSV6\BBS or C:\BBSV6\BBS.PIF but not C:\BBSV6\BBS.BAT   
      
   Here is what the MBBS4EVER docs say about it:   
      
   DO NOT START MAJORBBS BY RUNNING C:\BBSV6\BBS.BAT. It will initially start but   
   when it loads MajorMUD you'll get a nice red box with an error that says "Out   
   of contiguous selectors!". USE "C:\BBSV6\BBS"!
