   This would likely work fine. What I would probably do myself is make a symbolic   
   link of your bbs to /mysticbbs first. Then change the paths. Then remove the   
   symbolic link and copy the BBS over to /mysticbbs. But your method should work   
   just as well. And as long as you have a backup you should be okay.   
      
   For what its worth, I have done similar but opposite on my BBS. I usually   
   install it to /mystic and then copy it to my larger storage drive and make a   
   symbolic link back to /mystic to keep from putting as much strain on my SSD.
