Why are you running Synchronet and giving tech support in the Renegade
   group?

See how easy it is to be a smart ass on usenet?

Bigswifty - Check out your router config and make sure you are not
blocking the ports there. The box running mbbs should not be
contacting a real or simulated DHCP server but rather should be
assigned a local IP address. 192.168.1.1 being the router and tell
your DHCP to start assigning IP's at 192.168.1.100 and go up. Then
assign the mbbs box the IP 192.168.1.99 (you can also assign others at
98 and so forth) That makes your mbbs box constant or static in your
local network. Then in the router config (it varies with routers) tell
the router that any connections to port (tell it the ports mbbs will
use) be sent to local IP address 192.168.1.99 - That alone may fix
your connection problems. Also remember to reboot the whole network
when you make these changes to the router config just to be sure your
not stepping on your old configuration. Reboot the router too.. and
first.. after the computers are turned off.

If your forcing an IP assignment and forcing port connections to that
box you can then pretty much rule out network blocks and non-mbbs
   related connection issues. :)

   Good luck and good computing..
