Perl or Python are both open       source and I like that. I don't know much about firebird but sqlite       sounds interesting and it likes Python. I was thinking mysql from       the web application side and the fact that so many sites are using       it for heavy traffic sites; like Wikipedia, so it would seem there       wouldn't be a problem with it keeping up with a busy message base.              When you talk about a web interface to usenet newsgroups the       response is a little on the negative side. These networked message       bases need to be where the people are now... and most people now       only think web browser when it comes to the internet. So, if usenet       doesn't want to go where the people are maybe FTN or QWK should lead       the way.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
