|    Telnet Problems    |

XPost: alt.bbs       From: propaneisevil@hotmail.com              Hi there,              I've been trying to get my BBS up and running via telnet but have run into a       few problems and was hoping to get some insight. Here is a brief run down of       my configuration:              - Windows XP       - Winfossil (for NT) Ver 1.00 Beta 3 (emulating com3 as TELNET)       - Vmodem for the Virtual Modem       - Maximus v2.02 using Frontdoor 2.26                     The problems I'm running into is when I open my telnet connection via       Internet Explorer V6.0 Sp2 I get an echo on everything I type ie; HHEELLOO       also the emulation isn't quite right, some ANSI menus not displaying until       you press enter a couple of times etc. I suspect the echo and the ANSI       emulation are       related in some way. I 've looked over my settings in Winfossil nad can't       see anything in reguards to emulation or echos and there's no documentation       for Vmodem.              I've logged into a couple of other Maximus BBS's over telnet using my       Internet Explorer and it works great on their BBS's.              If anyone can help that's be greatly appreciated.       Thanks.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
