XPost: alt.christnet, alt.messianic, alt.religion.christian.biblestudy       XPost: alt.religion.christian       From: doctor@doctor.nl2k.ab.ca              Day 270, 27 September 2025              1) Mark 1:1,Luke 1:1-4,John 1:1-18,Matthew 1:1-17,Luke 1:5-80              Mark 1:1              1 (Mt 14:33) The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.              [1] The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;              Luke 1:1-4              The Prologue              1 Whereas many have undertaken to write a narrative of those things       which are most surely believed among us,       2 just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning       were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word,       3 it seemed good to me also, having accurately investigated all things       from the very beginning, to write to you an orderly account,       most excellent Theophilus,       4 that you might know the certainty of the things which you have been told.              [1] Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration       of those things which are most surely believed among us,       [2] Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were       eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;       [3] It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all       things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent       Theophilus,       [4] That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast       been instructed.              John 1:1-18              The Word Became Flesh              1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,       and the Word was God.       2 He was in the beginning with God.       3 All things were created through Him, and without Him nothing       was created that was created.       4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of mankind.       5 The light shines in darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it.       6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John.       7 This man came as a witness in order to testify concerning the Light,       that all men through Him might believe.       8 He was not this Light, but was sent in order to testify       concerning the Light.       9 The true Light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.       10 He was in the world, and the world was created through Him,       yet the world did not know Him.       11 He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him.       12 Yet to all who received Him, He gave the power to become sons of God,       to those who believed in His name,       13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh,       nor of the will of man, but of God.       14 The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory,       the glory as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.       15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, "This was He of whom I said,       'He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.' "       16 We have all received from His fullness grace upon grace.       17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came       through Jesus Christ.       18 No one has seen God at any time. The only Son, who is at the Father's side,       has made Him known.                     [1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the       Word was God.       [2] The same was in the beginning with God.       [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made       that was made.       [4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.       [5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.       [6] There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.       [7] The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all       men through him might believe.       [8] He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.       [9] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into       the world.       [10] He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world       knew him not.       [11] He came unto his own, and his own received him not.       [12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the       sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:       [13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of       the will of man, but of God.       [14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his       glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace       and truth.       [15] John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I       spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.       [16] And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.       [17] For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus       Christ.       [18] No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in       the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.              Matthew 1:1-17              The Genealogy of Jesus Christ              Lk 3:23-38              1 (Ge 22:18; Isa 11:1; Ro 1:3) The book of the genealogy       of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the son of Abraham:       2 (Ge 25:26; Ac 7:8) Abraham was the father of Isaac,       Isaac the father of Jacob,       and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers.       3 (Ge 46:12; 38:29-30) Judah was the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar,       Perez the father of Hezron,       and Hezron the father of Ram.       4 Ram was the father of Amminadab,       Amminadab the father of Nahshon,       and Nahshon the father of Salmon.       5 (Heb 11:31; Jas 2:25) Salmon was the father of Boaz by Rahab,       Boaz the father of Obed by Ruth,       and Obed the father of Jesse.       6 (1Sa 16:1; 17:12) Jesse was the father of David the king.       David the king was the father of Solomon,       by her who had been the wife of Uriah.       7 Solomon was the father of Rehoboam,       Rehoboam the father of Abijah,       and Abijah the father of Asa.       8 (1Ch 3:11) Asa was the father of Jehoshaphat,       Jehoshaphat the father of Joram,       and Joram the father of Uzziah.       9 Uzziah was the father of Jotham,       Jotham the father of Ahaz,       and Ahaz the father of Hezekiah.       10 Hezekiah was the father of Manasseh,       Manasseh the father of Amon,       and Amon the father of Josiah.       11 (Jer 27:20; Da 1:2) Josiah was the father of Jeconiah       and his brothers about the time they were exiled to Babylon.       12 (1Ch 3:17; Ezr 3:2) And after they were brought to Babylon,       Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel,       and Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel.       13 Zerubbabel was the father of Abiud,       Abiud the father of Eliakim,       and Eliakim the father of Azor.       14 Azor was the father of Zadok,       Zadok the father of Akim,       and Akim the father of Eliud.       15 Eliud was the father of Eleazar,       Eleazar the father of Matthan,       and Matthan the father of Jacob.       16 (Mt 27:17; Lk 3:23) And Jacob was the father of Joseph,       the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.       17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations,       from David until the exile to Babylon are fourteen generations,       and from the exile in Babylon to Christ are fourteen generations.              [1] The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the       son of Abraham.       [2] Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas       and his brethren;       [3] And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom;       and Esrom begat Aram;              [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
