[continued from previous message]              [18] And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.       [19] And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of       Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.       [20] And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in       the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.              Matthew 4:18-22              The Calling of the First Disciples              Mk 1:16-20; Lk 5:1-11              18 (Jn 1:40-42; Mt 15:29) As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee,       He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother,       throwing a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.       19 And He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."       20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.       21 (Mt 10:2) And going on from there, He saw two other brothers,       James the son of Zebedee and John his brother,       in a boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and He called them.       22 They immediately left the boat and their father and followed Him.              [18] And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon       called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they       were fishers.       [19] And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.       [20] And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.       [21] And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of       Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending       their nets; and he called them.       [22] And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.              Mark 1:21-28              The Man With an Unclean Spirit              Lk 4:31-37              21 (Mt 4:23; Mk 1:39) They went to Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath       He entered the synagogue and taught.       22 (Mt 7:28-29) They were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them       as one having authority, and not as the scribes.       23 In their synagogue there was a man with an unclean spirit.       24 (Ac 3:14; Mt 8:29; Lk 4:34) And he cried out, "Leave us alone! What do You       have to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us?       I know who You are, the Holy One of God."       25 (Mk 1:34) Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent and come out of him!"       26 (Mk 9:20; 9:26) When the unclean spirit had convulsed him       and cried out with a loud voice, it came out of him.       27 They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves,       "What is this? What new teaching is this?       With authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him."       28 Immediately His fame spread everywhere throughout       the region surrounding Galilee.              [21] And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he       entered into the synagogue, and taught.       [22] And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one       that had authority, and not as the scribes.       [23] And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he       cried out,       [24] Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of       Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy       One of God.       [25] And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.       [26] And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice,       he came out of him.       [27] And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among       themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with       authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.       [28] And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round       about Galilee.              Luke 4:31-37              The Man With an Unclean Spirit              Mk 1:21-28              31 (Mt 4:13) Then He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee,       and was teaching them on the Sabbaths.       32 (Lk 4:36; Mt 7:28-29) They were astonished at His teaching,       for His word was with authority.       33 In the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit       of an unclean demon. And he cried out with a loud voice,       34 (Mk 1:24; Mt 8:29; Jas 2:19) "Leave us alone! What have You to do with us,       Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us?       I know who You are-the Holy One of God!"       35 (Lk 4:41; Mt 8:26) Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent,       and come out of him!" When the demon had thrown him down       in their midst, he came out of him and did not hurt him.       36 (Lk 4:32) They were all amazed and said among themselves,       "What a word this is! For with authority       and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out."       37 (Lk 4:14; Mt 9:26) And His fame went out to every place       in the surrounding countryside.              [31] And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the       sabbath days.       [32] And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.       [33] And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean       devil, and cried out with a loud voice,       [34] Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of       Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy       One of God.       [35] And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And       when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him       not.       [36] And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a       word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean       spirits, and they come out.       [37] And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round       about.              Mark 1:29-34              The Healing of Many People              Mt 8:14-17; Lk 4:38-41              29 (Mt 8:14-15; Lk 4:38-39) When He came out of the synagogue       with James and John, they went directly to the house of Simon and Andrew.       30 (1Co 9:5) The mother of Simon's wife lay sick with a fever,       and immediately they told Him of her.       31 (Ac 9:41) So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up,       and immediately the fever left her. And she served them.       32 (Mt 8:16; Lk 4:40) In the evening, when the sun had set, they brought       to Him all who were sick and those who were possessed with demons.       33 The whole city was gathered at the door,       34 (Mk 3:12; Mt 4:23) and He healed many who were sick with various diseases       and cast out many demons. And He did not let the demons speak,       because they knew Him.              [29] And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered       into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.       [30] But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him       of her.       [31] And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and       immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.       [32] And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were       diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.       [33] And all the city was gathered together at the door.       [34] And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many       devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.              Matthew 8:14-17              The Healing of Many People              Mk 1:29-34; Lk 4:38-41              14 (1Co 9:5) When Jesus entered Peter's house, He saw his wife's mother,       lying sick with a fever.       15 He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she rose and served them.       16 When the evening came, they brought to Him many who were possessed       with demons. And He cast out the spirits with His word,       and healed all who were sick,       17 (Isa 53:4; Mt 1:22) to fulfill what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet,       "He Himself took our infirmities       and bore our sicknesses."[Isa 53:4].              [14] And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother       laid, and sick of a fever.              [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
